The administration is basic for organizations transitioning to the cloud, Diane Greene, who runs Google's distributed computing division, said in a meeting. "They are a pioneer in this application programming interface region," she said.

Google will pay Apigee shareholders $17.40 for every offer, a 6.5 percent premium to the stock's Wednesday close.
Apigee's shares were somewhat over the offer cost at $17.43 on Nasdaq in evening exchanging on Thursday.
The organization, whose clients incorporate AT&T, Burberry Bunch Plc, Vodafone Bunch Plc and the World Bank, opened up to the world in April a year ago at $17 per offer.
Greene, a previous VMware Chief, has pushed to bring Google's profile up in corporate figuring since she joined a year ago.
